No, Connecticut is a direct access state which means that you can see a physical therapist without a prescription from your doctor. We have the appropriate training to perform the proper screening to determine if physical therapy is appropriate for you. If you plan to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, they may have different requirements. We suggest reaching out to your insurance company to obtain this information prior to initiating care.

We do not accept insurance. PhysioFitz is a fee for service provider and your payment is due at the time of treatment. Being an out of network provider helps us to avoid the treatment limitations set by insurance companies and allows us to give you 60 minutes of one-on-one quality care and help you to get better faster. A superbill can be provided at the time of your service for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. This document includes all information an insurance company may need to reimburse for out-of-network services like provider’s ID, the patient’s diagnosis and CPT codes for service(s) rendered.

Your out of network benefits can be determined by calling your insurance provider. Attached are useful questions you can ask to aid in determining how much your insurance will reimburse you for each visit.

Yes, I am a certified Integrative Dry Needling practioner. I have separate dry needling sessions/packages available for purchase. Dry needling is also included in your physical therapy (if warranted) at no extra cost.
